Gala is a musician booking app for Bangladesh. Users can hire renowned bands based on their schedule and availability, discover local musicians, bauls, and rising stars through sample performances, and rent sound systems at an affordable price.
Overview
The problem
Event organizers struggle to book bands because there’s no central place to see availability, pricing, and requirements. Poor sound-system arrangements also lead to subpar performances and unhappy artists.
The solution
A one-stop platform where organizers compare bands by availability, hiring rates, and requirements, watch sample performances from local artists, and rent sound systems — with an extra discount through the app.
My role
I completed this case study end to end: problem finding, research, UX design, and UI design.
